When some of us think about health care, the words "simplicity," "convenience" and "great value" are not usually the first things that come to mind. But when you take daily prescription medications, they should be. And they can be.
Extended Fill is an offering that was borne out of a necessity to improve access and affordability to prescription medication and to increase convenience and reliability for providers, pharmacy partners and members.
If you or any of your dependents take maintenance medications – either as treatment for a health condition or as a preventive measure – read on to discover how your entire `ohana (at work or at home) could save time and money on prescription refills.
UHA’s Extended Fill program offers members taking daily maintenance medication the opportunity to receive several months’ supply for a single monthly co-pay fee of $15* for a generic equivalent. Most health insurance carriers with similar programs offer extended -fill, but without any associated cost-savings. Only UHA customers get the convenience and the added value of a reduced co-pay.
